Question 1:
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
I will explore the overall research of the stereotypical conventions in music videos and how they explore women and other aspects of a music video.
I will explain the type of approach my artist explores and how she either challenges it or develops the conventions.
Then explore the media product we produced and it is similar or different to the artists work and how effective it is and how we challenged the conventions of music videos overall; especially female artists.
As well as talking about the music video; I will link our Ancillary and Digipak, to the conventions of music video digipaks and how effective our products are and if they both link to the music video we have produced. To display this I will use images from the digipak to show the connection.
To present my work I will use screen-casting Camtasia, here I will go over the sections of our music video where we have challenges the overall convections of music videos overall. I will also use, Links, to clearly establish the videos that have influenced our music video; these will reference back to Ellie Goulding’s videos.
Question 2:
How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
I will talk about the link between the main product and the ancillary texts and what links them together; for example the synergy of the necklace and dream-catcher. How effective these aspects were and what could be done differently next time. Also explore the influence I had for these objects and what videos or artists/themes provided that.
What has worked and what hasn’t quite worked? Does it link to the target audience and what they like seeing in music video products?
The way I will present this question is maybe through a collage/comparison of my work with the artist I have chosen. I will also use a video clip and some screenshots of my work and how it is different from the stereotypical digipaks in the music industry today.
Question 3:
How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
I will explore the different ways I used the camera and how the new development of state of the art cameras helped with the filming of the video. And how using the premier Pro has developed my media skills.
Also how presenting my work on blogger and how the production of the music video using the technology.
The methods I will use to present this question is through a voiceover of my ancillary or video of me describing my piece. Also I will try and use screen casting to show a technique I used in Premiere Pro and Photoshop. I will have a lot of visual aspects for this question as using a range of different technologies’ was a very important process of this media project.
Question 4:
What have you learned from the audience feedback?
I will begin exploring the feedback from the rough-cut and then how I use that to change the overall music video. Also I will link the feedback throughout the process and how I have changed my production process.
I will also present the feedback from the target audience; their review of the final edit of the music video, and this will allow me to reflect the importance of the audience and how they have helped me to edit my music video better. As well as that, I will get feedback from the audience of what they think of the final edit of the ancillary products.
There will be a variety of different methods I will present my work; such as, have links to Vimeo exploring the audience ratings and record the reactions of the target audience . I will also use vox pops to record all the reactions.
