Task 58: Feedback on ancillary work
The feedback I received for my digipak from the target audience was that it was very plain and the 'greyscale' effect didn't do it justice. Also I was told that the font for the artists name 'Kai'li Klark' looked too formal for genre of music and for the album cover in general. Moreover, the inside panel of the album was also plain as I hadn't really focused upon it at the time and need to do work more thoroughly.
Task 57: Screenshots of Ancillary products in production
During the production of my ancillary products I first went for a 'grayscale' image mode but after realising this effect didn't give the work justice. So I opted to us the 'quick selection tool' for the picture and 'refine edge' to provide a transparent/or any colour background.
Then I used the effect of 'double exposure' intertwining the image I edited earlier of the artist with the 'quick selection tool' and a picture of the scenery which the beach and made a holo effect of the artist with the scenery making up the colours, providing a unique effect and corresponding to our music video due to the fact that it was black and white. But the colour on the album cover represents the feelings and emotions of the artist.
For the inside cover of the album, I went for a simple design the the same picture of the scenery as the front for the inside cover with a 'HDR toning' effect to slightly darken and amplify the image. The disk for the album consists of a 'Dreamcatcher' on the front as it shows the synergy object and it is on a plain grey disk with a white outline.

Inside Cover
Before:
From the start I had decided I wanted to make my CD black and white, so it matches the music video. But I wasn't so sure about the background choice, but ended up settling with a establishing shot of the beach. I liked the natural colouring but soon realised it didn't look as appealing.
In between editing:
Whilst editing to the inside cover of my digipak,, I realised the black and white CD suited the image only when it was in monochrome effect. However, after getting feedback I realised it was not as appealing to others and it looked quite dull as well, so I decided to change it.
After:
This is my final choice and I'm pleased with this because I think the natural colouring of the establishing shot is more eye catching and pleasing. I ended up changing the CD colour to a light grey as I thought it suited the background image more, and decided to keep the white font.
Back Cover
Before:
I was not really pleased with the back cover of my digipak, I didn't like the monochrome effect I chose to match the music video. I thought it looked messy and out of place, and after receiving good feedback I decided to change it all around.
After:
After:
I ended up changing the image near the track list of songs as the image before didn't stand out nor did it look effective. It only made my digipak look plain. The image that I ended up choosing, made it look simplistic and eye catching. I decided to keep it in a natural colouring with a bit of effect, this match

Planning question 1 for the Evaluation
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
For question 1 I will recap on the stereotypical conventions found in music videos and explore the theories of Laura Mulvey, Carol Vernallis and Andrew Goodwin on the representation of women. Based on these conventions found in many mainstream music videos, I will use it as a guideline to compare mainstream videos with the likes of the video our group made, this is due to enable us to see if there is a comparison between the video or to see if they are polar opposites in their production, shot types and portrayal and representation of women as our artist is a female singer.
Also I will further explain how our music video challenges some of the theories and conventions of Mulvey, Vernallis and Goodwin; for example, the female artist in the video is not seen as a object or any of the sorts in our video.

Task 56: Digital Mock-up of ancillary task 2 (Website)
This is is a mock-up of a website I made earlier for the artist "The Weeknd', however, didn't have a connection in genre with our artist. But this website did allow me to understand that not all genres have the same layouts and colour appropriate for their website; also this being a rough idea in itself allowed me to realise that the website would finish at a high stand if I got around to doing to, showing positive signs in the process in-order to create a professional looking website.
Below are pictures of the pages I did so far:

Task 55: Digital Mock-Up of ancillary task 1 (Repost of task 24)
For my initial ideas for the digipak, the album consists of the notable logo of the artist which is her name in a stylish font in black on a white background to help amplify and standout, appealing to the audience just with a first glimpse. The album cover itself which have the imagery of the artist with a close up like the prototype below, with wind blowing in her hair to provide an edge of what emotion is to come from the song as the artist looks toward what is perceived to be a horizon for better things to come.
The inside would be simple with the disk having a slight retro effect with the artist name only on the cover on a black disk with a white font, and the inside art/booklet would consist of a notable synergy which would be seen throughout all the work which is the dreamcatcher earrings just allow the audience to understand that dreamcatchers is the artists trademark aspect.
Task 54: Overview of Costumes (Re-post)
As a group we have decided to have a maximum of 3 clothing changes. In an Ellie Goulding music video, there is hardly any change of clothing so we thought we would differ from this and do a maximum of 3. We have chosen this particular number after we have watched several music videos and counted the amount of times they have changed their outfits.
Our choice of costume is casual and simple - it reflects the life of an ordinary person. Also, after watching a few of Ellie Goulding's music videos we have realised her location and the lyrics of her music video are the main focus point.
Task 53: Shortlist of ancillary photos
The images above are the pictures I've chosen for the shortlist for the ancillary work, the reasons being that all the pictures show the artists face from a clear prospective and aren't pixelated images making them easier to work with and edit. Moreover, the images I've chosen for the shortlist provide a link between the video and the album cover as they more-or-less correspond to the artists visual in the video providing continuity throughout the ancillary and video.

Post 57: Screenshot of Ancillary Products in production
The production of the Digipak for the Ancillary was really a trail and error process where I really tried out a variety of different features and ideas during the production of my digipak.
I used layering of two images to get the effect of the sea, which is evident in my music video.
I used the eraser tool to remove the background of the image so that I could add it onto another background. These were the two images which I was very stuck between and finally I chose the one on the right as my final image which I layered with the beach tomorrow.
